Guess who the ATARASHII TOMODACHI is?
Kurumi, I have my EYE ON YOU. *does motion of two fingers pointing at eyes, and then one finger pointing away* You almost had me fooled, you know, being so nice to Sawako during the episode and not once letting slip whatever mask you have on. But I know. Why are you making friends with Sawako? Because of Kazehaya? Yeah, I THOUGHT SO. You would have never become friends with Sawako if it were not for Kazehaya, and that as good of evidence as any that you are plotting something sinister. If you so much as facilitate any sort of strain into Kazehaya and Sawako’s relationship, I’ll… I’ll… be very displeased!

Meanwhile, our bumbling couple proceeds in their almost frustratingly bumbling way. Kazehaya is too embarrassed to call Sawako by her first name, but when Sawako hears him refer to Kurumi by hers, she feels a stabbing pain in her chest. PANGS OF JEALOUSY? And of course Kurumi VERY KNOWINGLY interrupts Kazehaya trying a second time to say Sawako’s name. (When it comes to Kurumi, all allegations are guilty, guilty, guilty!)
Most of the other characters spend their time preparing for the Sports Festival. Both Yoshida and Pin are excited to go win the competitions. Yano goes into Kazehaya tease mode, which is never, ever unwelcome. That, and moe kettle makes a return!
